Q: What is Agility™? A: Arjuna Agility™ is a 'federated cloud computing platform' designed to improve business agility through a more flexible infrastructure approach. Federated, because Agility™ is constructed from IT resources that are assigned by autonomous, cooperating, business parties within and beyond the enterprise. Q: What is the target-market? A: Agility™ is appropriate for any organization running disparate IT resources that require improved flexibility without replacing existing infrastructure. Q: Why should customers choose Agility™? A: Customers should choose Agility™ if they want a controlled way to move towards a more flexible infrastructure without a 'big bang'/'rip and replace' approach. Q: What are the business benefits of using Agility™? A: Agility™'s main business benefits are listed here Q: What are the technical benefits of using Agility™? A: Agility™'s technical benefits are listed here Q: What impact will Agility™ have upon my existing infrastructure? A: Agility™ is realized as a set of services and tools which execute in parallel with existing IT infrastructure. Unlike other approaches, Agility™ acts as a platform overlay and does not force “big bang” changes onto the enterprise’s IT infrastructure and applications. Instead Agility™ can be introduced incrementally, as needed. Q: Does the product support Web services using SOAP/HTTP? A: Yes. Q: Does the product *only* support services in the form of Web services using SOAP/HTTP? A: No. The product is architected to be services-based with protocol gateways for a variety of access protocols. Q: What is the current status of the product? A: The product is currently in the form of a Technology Demonstrator which illustrates the primary uses and features of Agility™. Currently the Technology Demonstrator only supports Web services using SOAP/HTTP. Q: Can I download the demonstrator? A: Please mail agility@arjuna.com to discuss this. Q: When will Agility™ be available as a product? A: A Beta of Agility™ will be available by the end of 2008.
Q: How is Arjuna funded? A: Arjuna is primarily self-funded from previous technology and OEM sales. In 2005 Arjuna completed a large tech transfer sale to JBoss. Q: Which companies have bought Arjuna's technology? A: Previous customers of Arjuna’s technology have included – Bluestone, Hewlett-Packard, JBoss (all technology transfer customers), Iona, webMethods and TIBCO (all OEM customers).
